Herb-Cheese Twists

1 lb frozen loaf bread dough (or 12 Rhode's rolls)
4 Tbsp butter or margerine, softened
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup shredded mozzerella cheese
Poppy seeds

Let frozen dough thaw until pliable. On a lightly floured board, roll dough into a 10-inch square. Mix the softened butter with garlic and herbs. Spread over dough. Sprinkle cheese on top. Fold dough in half vertically. Fold dough in half again, making a square. Fold dough in half a third time making a rectangle. Press down lightly. Cut dough into 8 even slices. Pull and twist each slice to about 5-6 inches long and place on greased baking sheet. Lightly coat with melted butter and top with poppy seeds. Let rise until puffy; about 30-60 minutes. Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
