1 1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup flour
2 cans red tart pitted cherries, drained
1/4 tsp almond extract
2 Tbsp margerine
2 pie crusts
Mix sugar and flour together, then toss over drained cherries. Sprinkle almond extract over. Pour into pie crust. Shave margerine over cherries. Put second crust over and press together with a fork. Place 2"-3" strips of foil around crust. Bake at 450 for 30 minutes with foil, then 20 minutes without foil.
*Try a crumb topping instead of a second pie crust*
